Dear Classmates

 

It has been five years since we left our alma mater, & now it is time to return for Homecoming 2002.  The festivities will begin Friday November 8th and continue through the weekend.

 

A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Riverview, Charleston.  This is the round Holiday Inn near the Citadel.  Reservations can be made by calling      1-800-766-4451, or visiting their web site www.holiday-inn.com/chs-riverview.  Use code CDL when making reservations.  The rate is $99 per night.  Reservations must be made by October 7, 2002.

 

On Friday night, starting at 7, we will meet at Southend Brewery.  There will be beer a cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

 

Saturday will feature a tailgate party that will begin after parade behind the visitor’s stands.  Look for the class banner.  We will have Bar-B-Q with all the fixings along with beer, liquor, & non-alcoholic drinks.

 

Saturday night is a time to enjoy Charleston on your own terms. 

 

The total cost for the weekend is $45 per alumnus and $30 per guest.  This includes food, alcohol on Saturday, class hat & koozie.  This does not include football tickets.

 

We have reserved a block of seats for the game.  They are $16 each.  You must have a ticket in order to march into the stadium.  If you need a ticket, please make a note on the registration form & you will be able to pick them up prior to the game at the class tent.   

 

Enclosed is the official registration form.  We must receive your payment for the weekend by October 15th in order to get at an accurate head count for the caterer & gifts.  Payments not received by this date will incur a $10 per person late charge.  Please don’t show up & expect to participate without paying.
